Dance Auditions
Because the School of Dance considers artistic talent in the review process, you must audition for consideration to the program. Your audition for admission also serves as your audition for talent-based scholarships.
Audition Requirements
The audition provides the dancer with an opportunity to demonstrate their talent, level of training and aptitude for further study in dance. The audition class includes modern, ballet, jazz and improvisation. You do not need to master every single style. We look at your core technical skills, strength, flexibility, rhythm and unique performance energy.
Audition Opportunities
The School of Dance offers many audition opportunities. Students are encouraged to audition during an in-person event, but students who are unable to attend an in-person audition event may choose to submit a video audition.
On-Campus Auditions
During on-campus audition events, students will tour our studios, meet dance faculty, connect with current dance students and complete their audition!

Spring Semester Class Visit
Applicants who are unable to attend a formal audition event may choose to join us on campus during the spring semester for an in-person audition. In-person auditions are offered on Mondays and Wednesdays. To arrange an in-person audition, please email Jessica Fox, senior assistant director of recruitment in the Chaddock + Morrow College of Fine Arts.
Video Auditions
Applicants who are unable to attend an in-person audition event may submit a video audition for consideration for the School of Dance. Details can be found in the .
