Thousands of alumni already sport what we call “the best plate in the state”—now available in two proud designs: the classic Bobcat plate and the spirited Marching 110 plate. Let everyone on the road know you’re a Bobcat and support your alma mater at the same time!
Only Ƶ residents can get these special plates. If you’re not an Ƶ resident, you can always pick up an OHIO license plate at or deck out your car with Bobcat decals!
How to purchase the Ƶ plate
The Ƶ license plate is a “special plate,” as described by the . The special plate fee is $35, charged annually by the OBMV, in addition to the regular registration fee. Of that fee, $25 goes toward an Ƶ scholarship fund. This portion may be tax deductible. You may at any time go back to a standard-issue license plate, however, you will not receive a refund of fees paid.

Use the online option for renewals, exchanges or checking special plate availability only. If you have a new vehicle that has never been plated, you must go to your local deputy registrar’s office in person.
