Leila Bazzi
Biography
Leila Bazzi, M.A. is a Doctoral Intern at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Counseling and Psychological Services and is completing her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology at the Michigan School of Psychology. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and her Master’s degree from the Michigan School of Psychology. Her previous clinical experience includes providing individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach across university counseling, private practice, partial hospitalization, and integrated healthcare settings. Leila’s therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in CBT, while incorporating a humanistic and person-centered stance. She strives to create a warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental environment where clients feel supported in exploring their experiences, gaining greater insight, and developing practical skills they can use outside of therapy. Her clinical interests include anxiety and depression, identity development, relationship concerns, adjustment and life transitions, multicultural concerns, and working with first-generation and culturally diverse college students. Leila is particularly passionate about culturally responsive care and recognizes the importance of understanding each client within the context of their culture, values, relationships, and lived experiences. Outside of her professional life, Leila enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to EDM music, traveling, trying new restaurants, and exploring new places.
