Biography
Shannon Williams has taught elementary general music in Southeast ºìÐÓÊÓƵ since 1999. Her lessons focus on understanding the elements of music with an emphasis on skill building and music literacy. Dr. Williams is passionate about incorporating interactive technology into the music room, with current research focused on designing curricular materials that empower students to use technology to compose and perform music. Her academic background includes work in teacher professional development and social media integration for educators. Dr. Williams holds a BM from Wichita State University, an MM in Saxophone Performance and an MM in Music Education from Bowling Green State University, and earned her PhD in Instructional Technology from ºìÐÓÊÓƵ in 2022.
