Megan Doyle is a second-year undergraduate student from Dayton, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, majoring in communication studies and minoring in marketing. Megan joined the Student News Bureau because she loves the art of storytelling and wants to hone her skills in the world of journalism. She is excited to learn from her peers, build her portfolio and create experiences that will help her in her future career.

Lydia Emerine is a third-year undergraduate student at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ. Her hometown is Chardon, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, and her major is Journalism with a focus on Strategic Communications. Lydia joined the Student News Bureau because she believes everyone has a story that is worth telling and wants to gain experience in the professional world of journalism. She believes the Student News Bureau will give her a chance to collaborate and learn from colleagues that attend ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and professionals that can be learned from.

Alex Karan is a second-year undergraduate student from Chicago, IL, studying music production in the Scripps College of Communication. He is a passionate producer who enjoys recording, editing and creating all types of creative media, but currently focuses on audio production for music and podcasts. He enjoys creating content based around music industry happenings and general history that informs the listener and tells engaging stories. 

Alex joined the Student News Bureau to gain production experience outside of the music industry and to contribute to the stories being shared with the community. He enjoys being a part of the supportive Student News Bureau community and looks forward to developing his own skills in audio production while leaving a lasting impression on storytelling in the Athens community.

From Pickerington, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, Chance Reed is a third year communication studies major with a philosophy minor and writing certificate. They bring experience in podcasting, collaborative storytelling, and creative project work. Chance is eager to contribute to the Student News Bureau and spotlight the voices, achievements, and everyday moments that make OHIO’s community unique.

Sage Spirk is a third-year undergraduate student from Dayton, ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, studying journalism at the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism with a minor in Spanish and African American studies. She is looking forward to connecting with fellow journalists in the Student News Bureau while highlighting OHIO success stories. Additionally, Sage serves as the Editorial Director for the All-Campus Radio Network, where she practices music journalism. Sage is excited to build a diverse portfolio this year.

Clara Smith is a fourth-year undergraduate student from Dayton, OH, studying English- Literature, Culture & Writing in the College of Arts, and Sciences. She is looking forward to joining the Student News Bureau while gaining a professional writing and editing experience. Clara is passionate about sharing stories from student and faculty voices. She particularly enjoys writing about student activities and the positive experience they are having at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ.
