Subject: Opportunity for an Associate Degree
Dear Bobcat:
The State of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s Credit When It’s Due program is designed to award associate degrees to students who started at a community college, earned some credits, then transferred to a four-year university without completing the associate degree.
Our records show that you attended an ºìÐÓÊÓƵ community college and successfully earned credits toward an associate degree. These credits, along with your coursework at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, may put you close to completing an associate degree—either from your former community college or from ºìÐÓÊÓƵ. You may choose to have your credits reviewed by either ºìÐÓÊÓƵ or your community college, but you can only receive the degree from one school.
If you would like to be considered for an associate degree from the community college you attended, you will need to give ºìÐÓÊÓƵ permission to send your transcript to that college. The community college will review your record to see if you have met the requirements for the degree. We will send your transcript at no cost, as long as you do not have any outstanding financial obligations. If you qualify for the degree, the community college will contact you directly. This could be a great opportunity for you!
