If you use a personal computer for work or school at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, you are responsible for properly securing it in accordance with ºìÐÓÊÓƵ's Desktop Management Standard. If you use an OHIO-managed machine, then your security settings are managed for you.

ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s Information Security Office has put together information to help students, faculty and staff better understand how to properly secure personal computers. The information includes tips on a wide range of subjects, including:

• Backing up your data regularly
• Using anti-virus software and firewalls
• Encrypting your computer
• Only installing trusted apps
• Keeping devices updated
