The ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Women’s Club provides an opportunity for friends to gather at a variety of social events and interest groups throughout the year to build a unique support group, as well as share our passion for the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ and Athens communities, all while making lifelong connections along the way!
Membership is open to all ºìÐÓÊÓƵ employees, retirees, alumni, and spouses or domestic partners of ºìÐÓÊÓƵ employees, retirees, and alumni.
Our History
Founded back in the fall of 1936 as "The Faculty Wives Club," the Club has transformed significantly over the decades. By the early 1970s, it had adopted the name ºìÐÓÊÓƵ Women’s Club, marking a pivotal shift. Fast forward to 2012, membership expanded to embrace all women affiliated with ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, whether through work or partnership. The year 2020 brought another milestone with Alumni also becoming eligible. By fall 2022, eligibility widened to encompass ºìÐÓÊÓƵ women employees, retirees, alumnae, and their spouses or domestic partners. Continuing to evolve, fall 2023 saw eligibility extend further to include any ºìÐÓÊÓƵ employee, retiree, alumni, and their spouses or domestic partners.
