Preaward Services for External Grant or Contract Proposals

Research support services at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ are evolving. Understanding the roles of the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP), Research Development (RD), and the Heritage College (HCOM) Office of Research and Grants, and College of Health Sciences and Professions (CHSP) will help you identify the appropriate point of contact and better navigate the proposal development process. Faculty are encouraged to complete the Intent to Submit form as soon as a funding opportunity is identified so that proposal submission support services can be appropriately allocated.

2026 Summer Research Challenge for Pre-Tenure Faculty

The 2026 Summer Research Challenge is a focused faculty development initiative designed to support pre-tenure CHSP and HCOM faculty in crafting competitive external grant proposals. This intensive program provides structured support and mentoring to help faculty produce a polished Specific Aims page and Research Strategy ready for submission to a funding agency.

Research Catalyst Program

The Heritage College is participating in a new OHIO pilot program intended to incentivize research by offering an annual payout to faculty who receive salary support from external grants.

Capital Equipment Request

The Office of Research and Grants accepts proposals for capital equipment that can be shared among multiple faculty members. To submit a request, please complete the Capital Equipment Request Form. Proposals are reviewed on a rolling basis and are subject to funding availability and the strategic importance of the equipment.

Communication Services Request

The Heritage College is dedicated to sharing important achievements and successes of researchers working within the college.  If you have an upcoming activity, event, or achievement for which you would like to request photography, videography, and/or a write-up, please complete the Communication Services Request form.  Requests will be evaluated by the Office of Research and Grants, the HCOM Chief Communications Officer, and/or University Communications and Marketing and approval of services will be based on availability of staff and College and University priorities.

Faculty Publications

Heritage College tenure track, instructional and research clinical faculty publications are featured in a searchable table that is updated monthly. Publications are obtained from PubMed and Scopus reports.
